Going from level 0 armor to level 2 armor gives each hero 10-15 HP, which is typically on the order of 25-50% increase depending on class. At apprentice level, armor is probably the best upgrade. ![]() Somebody with more experience than me can probably give a better analysis than me, but this is my general impression: I ended up with my guild finishing a bit before my smith, which is fairly typical, from my understanding. Smith and guild take different heirlooms (well, both takes crests, but they don't count because they're always in surplus), so as long as you don't keep doing the same dungeons over and over, you should get a mix.
